HACKMEAD FARM KENNELS 

We are a small family run business with just 14 separate kennels. This allows us the time to give the very best of care to each dog staying in our care. We have developed our kennels to give everything that we have always looked for in boarding facilities when seeking care for our own dogs in the past. Only very rarely did we manage to find somewhere which we felt gave everything our dogs needed.

The kennels are newly built to a high standard within a barn, and provide that outdoor feel but inside. All kennels have underfloor heating and have ample room for dogs of all sizes. We have two exercise areas; a one and a half acre paddock, and another which is roughly half an acre, both securely fenced for dogs of all sizes. Both are situated just a few feet away from the kennel block itself. All boarding dogs will be exercised at least 3 times a day, (usually 4 times, first thing in the morning, late morning, early afternoon and after tea), indeed our aim is to allow dogs as much time outdoors as possible, either free running within our secure exercise paddock, or on walks in the surrounding farmland and countryside.

We will provide toys and a stimulating environment for your dog. We do urge owners to bring along your dogs own bedding as it helps to make your dog feel secure while away from home, however we can provide bedding if need be. All dogs have their own plastic bed to sleep in. We can provide quality food for your dog during their stay, or you can bring along their regular food if you prefer. (Keeping your dog on his/her regular diet can help to avoid upset tummies and digestive problems.) We give healthy treats throughout the day, and a biscuit and a hug at bedtime! Your dog will become part of our family during their stay, so you can enjoy your holiday knowing that your 4 legged family member will be enjoying their vacation too.

We welcome visits prior to booking, but please do call beforehand so that we can ensure that someone is on hand to show you around.

Our kennels are becoming ever more popular so please book early for busy periods, especially during school holidays to avoid disappointment!
